VDS Senior for Autumn

I was scrolling through the Philofaxy Facebook page yesterday and it seems like the A6 planners are getting extremely popular due to their smaller size and yet virtually no loss of usable space on the inserts and came across a you tube video of someone setting up their A6 Van Der Spek.

This obviously led on to much more viewings on You Tube of other people's A6 Van Der Speks...many video's later I decided that I might look into going back into mine.

I absolutely loved it when I was in it before and only downsized as I wanted to use a smaller bag and lighten the load but I do miss it.  I miss the quality and texture and usability.  I miss the tactileness (if that's even a word!) of the Touch Me so today I have re-printed some more inserts to put into mine and get it going again. I didn't like the inserts I had made previously (week to a page) and I think that's one of the reasons I moved out of it.  So I have re-done a week on two pages and tonight I will re-write everything that will be missing whilst I have been in other planners...yes, seriously, I do this every time.

The amount of times I have needed to look back at something and frustratingly realise that I had swapped planners in the meantime and the thing I need is in the other one...and every time I do it I vow to just stay in the same planner but it never happens.  I like to switch it up and change about, but I like having ALL the information in the SAME place.  Makes perfect sense doesn't it?

I am very proud of myself too as I have cancelled my order for the new gold Saffiano in both pocket and compact size.  I really don't need any more.  I cannot however bring myself to cancel the order for the Fluoro Pink Original in A5...I can already visualise that baby on my desk being used as a journal/ideas planner rather than just a planner, I have my everyday carry for that and I don't want to duplicate everything.  I want to use them alongside each other.  I will probably just have a monthly overview in my Pink and then lots of notepaper, pretty notepaper, photographs, quotes,  inspirational and motivational beautifulness....and I've just had notification that she's shipped!! Woohoo!!

Until next time, take care xxx

Compact Planner by Burberry

As per my previous post, I have recently purchased a compact planner by Burberry (there isn't any model name) and when it arrived I instantly fell in love with it's subtle class and moved in immediately!

It did come with some inserts, all delicately labelled Burberry, and in a beautiful cream colour but I am a little OCD in that I like all my inserts to be matching wherever possible so I have taken them out and put them aside for now until I can figure out what to do with them, if anything.

After looking on the internet for Burberry inserts I can't find a single thing.  I can't even find confirmation that Burberry ever did planners...I am ignoring this fact as I don't want to believe that this beauty is anything but authentic.

The dividers are amazing.  They are ultra thin flexible plastic and are simply titled - Monthly, Weekly, Memo and Addresses.  They are also top tabbed which I prefer over side tabs, in fact you will be hard pushed to find any side tabs in any of my planners!  Something that unconsciously occurred.

The rings are golden, the interior simple and minimalistic with no card pockets at all and just secretarial type pockets laid over the characteristic nova check.  It is slim, classy and very elegant.

The pen loop is quite large and very comfortably takes my Waterman Carene in black laquer and gold, quite a match!

I have been in this planner almost a week and I have to say that it is a lovely item and I don't want to know if it is not a genuine article.  I would be thrilled to have it confirmed that it is but until that actually happens, ignorance is bliss.

Here he is in all his glory...

It's not the best lighting but I'm sure you get the idea :)

Next to arrive is an A5 Fluoro Pink Original and a pocket and compact Saffiano in Gold...seems I'm back on the planner wagon!!

Oh well, whatever :)

Until next time, take care xxx

Planner Purchases...again!

Despite being very happy in my Guildford Extra Slim Mini I have found my eyes wandering to the available vintage and new lines of planners...I seriously thought I was done with all of this but evidently not!

I have been sucked in to buying a beautiful Burberry Agenda in personal size, I don't know what it is about it that grabbed my attention - maybe the lovely leather, maybe the subtle touch of the classic nova print, maybe both but for the price I didn't want to let it go so quite simply I didn't!

Prior to that I saw a post on the Facebook page relating to the new gold Saffiano planners that are an amazing price on Speedyhen at the moment and ended up buying a pocket size £18.28) and a compact personal size (£19.19) with free delivery!  I had been pondering over getting another compact one and at that price I thought it would be rude not too!
So it seems that my planner collection is increasing in size again!  D'oh and I thought I had it under control.  Oh well, at least they aren't too expensive so it could be so much worse!  It's not like I've just bought three Van Der Speks, or Gillio's or Louis Vuitton ones...now that would be something to cry about!

Now with all these gold planners and one with gold rings I need to go and find myself a lovely gold pen...

Until next time, take care xxx
